We offer personalized care for every client! Additionally, our staff members are available 365 days a year, we limit group sizes, offer built-in transportation, and maintain strong relationships with both pets and their owners.
Our reinforcement-based approach is designed to strengthen your dog's skills and build confidence by working on calm greetings, loose leash walking, and increasing "The Three D's": Distance, Duration and Distraction for all your dog's commands. Only the best for your best friend!
We currently serve Needham, Newton, Wellesley, Chestnut Hill, Brookline, Dedham, Dover, Westwood, West Roxbury. If you’re just outside our service area, reach out, we may still be able to accommodate you!
We provide solo and group walks, daycare, overnights (boarding or in-home), group hikes, training, and grooming (The Newbury of Brookline only).

After the Meet & Greet Consultation is completed, you can request services, view your pet's schedule, and stay in touch with our team through the Time to Pet app!
Submitting a service request in Time to Pet does not automatically confirm your booking. Once your request has been reviewed and scheduled, you’ll receive a confirmation email from Time to Pet. You can also view your confirmed service directly through the Time to Pet app!
Yes, Jake’s Dog Walking and Pet Care is fully insured and bonded for your peace of mind. Your pet’s safety and security are always our top priority.
While dogs are our specialty, we also provide care for cats and other small pets upon request. Every service is tailored to your pet’s unique needs and comfort level!
All dogs must be current on core vaccinations and complete a Meet & Greet Consultation before their first service.
For the safety of all pets in our care, we require up-to-date Rabies, Distemper (DHPP/DA2PP), and Bordetella vaccinations. Proof of vaccination must be provided prior to your pet’s first service.
For the privacy and safety of our team members, we do not share personal addresses or contact information. All communication and coordination take place through Time To Pet to ensure a smooth and secure experience for everyone.

We understand that plans change! Please reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged for the scheduled service. Cancellations or reschedules made within 24 hours of the scheduled service will incur a fee.
We use the Time to Pet app for all client communication. You’ll receive real-time updates, photos, and visit reports after every service, so you always know how your pet’s day went.
Absolutely! Many of our clients schedule regular weekly walks, group hikes or daycare. We also offer priority scheduling for recurring clients to guarantee consistency and availability.
